Holistic Psychotherapy and Trauma-Informed Care

Depression, anxiety, trauma, and overwhelming life stressors often feels like a burden too heavy to carry alone.  It is common to feel stuck in old patterns, to struggle with addiction or to navigate the lasting impact of past trauma.  Therapy can be the space where you learn to breathe again, make sense of your story, and create a path forward the actually feels like yours.

My primary specialties include Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused CBT, which provide a structured and evidence-based foundation for addressing depression, anxiety disorders, trauma, ADHD, and addiction.  These approaches help clients identify patterns in their thoughts and behaviors, develop practical tools for change, and build resilience over time.  My practice is grounded in a holistic, integrative, and person-centered framework. I consider the whole person- including mind, body, emotions, and environment- and tailor each session the individual's unique needs, goals, and strengths.  In practice, this may include exploring the connections between stress, physical health, and emotional well-being, or incorporating creative and reflective exercises that encourage self-discovery.  My role is not to prescribe a rigid formula, but to meet you where you are and walk alongside you as you uncover your own path toward growth and healing.

I believe healing isn't just about reducing symptoms- it's about reconnecting with your strengths, values, and sense of possibility. My style is direct, supportive, and practical. We'll identify tools you can use right away, while also working towards long-term change. My approach is honest, compassionate, grounded, and I integrate creativity and humor in ways that feel supportive and authentic. Clients often describe my style as direct, supportive, and collaborative.  My goal is to create a space where you feel safe to explore difficult emotions while also being encouraged to take steps forward.  You can expect a balance of compassion and honesty:  I will listen deeply, but I will also challenge you when needed to help you move past old patterns.

Whether we are working on healing from trauma, managing anxiety, navigating life transitions, or building healthier coping skills, our work together will always be centered on you as a whole person.  The ultimate goal is not only symptom relief, but also greater self-awareness, confidence, and balance.
